Forestry Ground Preparation
You can’t just stick a tree in the ground and hope that it grows! Once the purpose of a future forested area has been decided upon and all of the environmental factors have been taken into account, the area must be thoroughly prepared to make as favourable a planting site as possible for the young trees.
Mounding, ripper mounding, screefing, brash raking into windrows, drainage and de-compaction work on upland re-stock sites to reclamation sites – Clixbys undertake all of these various techniques to prepare for planting. Over the past twelve years we have carried out the ground prep for over 1.6 million trees.
